Print on Demand is all about creating designs, printing them on products (like t-shirts, stickers, mugs, posters…), and selling them via hundreds of market places that are available online.
Now, you can do all that by creating a design yourself and simply publishing it to one of these online marketplaces and hoping for the best.
In truth, it works — I’ve done it.
However, there are hundreds, if not thousands of tools out there that can make your life SO MUCH EASIER (and more profitable).
1. Shopify
Shopify.com is a website platform which makes it very easy to create a branded webshop where you can sell your Print on Demand products.
If you’re working with a production partner like the big 3 (Printify, Printful or Awkward Styles), you can easily push your products from there to Shopify.
If an order comes in, these production partners handle it, how awesome is that?
These days, you can create a Shopify store for just $1 for the first 3 months. Connect your Production Partners to it & just give it a try!
Oh and it gets even better!
You can use apps like Codisto to easy push your products from Shopify to the biggest e-commerce platforms, like Amazon Seller Central, eBay, Walmart and more!
Remember — the more “virtual real estate” you can occupy, the higher your chances or selling stuff!
2. Link.Store
This helps you remove or replace your long to-remember URL.
For example, if your Etsy URL is https://www.etsy.com/shop/YourName, then you can simply change it to https://yourName.store
Example:
3. Podly.co
Podly.co is an essential easy-to-use research tool for all POD entrepreneurs and Amazon sellers.
It provides data & insights on sales, trends, competition, customer preferences, product research data & product ideas, from Amazon Merch (on Demand) and Amazon KDP marketplaces.
Also, it filters out products from big brands, which you cant sell of course (copyright stuff etc.)
And most importantly: This tool will help improve your listings, which can improve your sales.
FYI, they also have a chrome extension which uses AI, very useful.
4. Alura.io
Alura.io is a simple all-in-one platform that unifies every aspect of the Etsy seller journey, from research to marketing.
- Spy on you competition to see what their most successful products and descriptions are,
- Get tips & insights to make the best decisions for your own store.
And most importantly: Automate email communications & marketing
- Email sender: Grow your Etsy shop with email marketing. Send regular & automated mails to drive sales
- Automate social media posts, to reach more customers
5. Creative Fabrica
Creative Fabrica is a platform that offers digital assets like fonts, graphics, patterns and templates, all with commercial licenses.
They have AI tools like image & text generators, and even offer masterclasses
It’s especially useful for us POD entrepreneurs for following reasons:
- It offers 141.000+ unique fonts, which you can use to create professional-looking, unique designs.
- It has an AI Shape/Word generator (called CF Spark), with which you can create unique designs
- It’s cheap (just $4.99/month) AND offers a trial period
Creative Fabrica offers a trial period. You can consider trying it, to see if it meets your needs before committing to a subscription.
Just look at CF Spark alone… you can create ANYTHING with this AI tool. It’s even great for Amazon KDP Automation!
Yeah, really, really good tool.
6. Vexels
Vexels is a platform similar to Creative Fabrica.
However, there are a bunch of things that Vexels has, which Creative Fabrica is missing such as the most important one:
Ready-made designs.
Vexels has unique tools for merch sellers and creators, including drag-and-drop design tools, pre-made templates, and online tools which allow you to very easily create hight quality designs.
- Ready-made designs you can customize and use on POD platforms like Amazon Merch on Demand
- All designs are originally-made by Vexels in-house Design team
- Full access to POD-licensed vectors, PNGs, PSDs, and Illustrator files for any niche you’re interested in
- Merch licenses on every download
- FREE Online T-shirt Maker & Mockup Generator for subscribers
And some more fun tools:
7. Kittl.com
Another POD design solution, which is actually my favourite.
Kittl.com is a web-based design app, which is VERY user friendly, and which makes it REALLY EASY to create stunning POD designs.
FYI, while writing this article and using Kittl, I just received a message that they’ve updated their AI solution, which can create designs that are artistic, visually captivating, and dependable.
Creating a t-shirt design is just peanuts in Kittl:
Click t-shirts, scroll, choose something, “use this design”
Next, you can start editing the design, generate mockups and download it.
Key Takeaways 🔑
There are so many POD tools out there, and while you can perfectly get along without them, they DO make your life a lot easier AND will increase your profits.
