This Is How Much I Still Earn From Print-On-Demand After Not Being Active For 1 Year

I’ve been doing print-on-demand for almost 10 years.
But last year, I stopped. No uploads. No updates. Nothing.

Still, money came in.
Less than before — but not zero.

Here’s exactly how much I still earn passively in November 2025.

1. Displate — Metal Posters Still Pay the Bills

Displate used to be my top performer.
At my peak, I earned €400–600/month just from metal posters.

After a year of inactivity? Around €80–120/month.

Not bad for doing nothing.

The secret: my old designs still rank in search and get traffic.

Displate’s algorithm rewards good engagement — so if your posters sell once, they often keep selling.

Lesson: upload timeless art. Things that don’t “expire.”
Samurai art. Space themes. Nature patterns. Those still sell.

2. Redbubble — Oversaturated but Still Alive

Redbubble used to be easy money.
Upload → forget → collect royalties.

Not anymore.

In 2025, competition is brutal.

My earnings dropped from €200/month to less than €30.

It’s still passive, but Redbubble is mostly a traffic funnel now.
If you already have designs, keep them there.
But don’t expect to get rich — margins are low and the site is full of AI spam.

Lesson: use Redbubble for visibility, not profit.

3. TeePublic — Same Story, Different Logo

TeePublic mirrors Redbubble.
My best design still sells maybe once or twice a month.

That’s €5–10.

They sometimes run promos that cut your margin even further.
So if you’re not driving external traffic, you’ll get buried.

Lesson: You could upload your existing designs, but don’t waste time creating just for TeePublic.

4. Amazon KDP — The “Forgotten” Goldmine

This one surprised me.
I made a few low-content books (journals, planners) in 2022.

Did nothing since.

Yet I still make €30–40/month from old listings.

Amazon’s search traffic is huge, and if your book ranks once, it can live for years.

It’s not POD art, but technically it’s print-on-demand too.

Lesson: diversify. Books, journals, notebooks — still passive, still alive.

5. Etsy — The Sleeping Giant

Etsy is different.
It rewards activity.
If you stop uploading, your traffic dies fast.

I used to make €250–300/month.

Now it’s basically zero. ZERO.

Still, I will rebuild.

Etsy + Printful & myDesigns AI = powerful combo.

You control your brand, pricing, and email list.

Lesson: this is where I’ll focus again in 2025 & 2026.

It’s harder work — but bigger profit per sale.

Total Passive Income After 1 Year of Doing Nothing

Let’s add everything together.

Displate + Redbubble + Teepublic + Amazon KDP + Etsy

Total: ~€170/month PASSIVE INCOME!

Not life-changing, but proof that digital assets keep working even when you don’t.

What’s Next?

I’m relaunching.

  • New Displate designs.
  • A fresh Etsy store.
  • New uploads to Amazon Seller Central
  • Instagram content to drive traffic.

If you ever built something online and let it fade — here’s your sign to restart.

The platforms changed, but the game didn’t.
Print on Demand is still as active and profitable as ever!

Create once. Upload smart. Let the internet work for you.
